This page gathers Cranes' refund position in one place. It restates the relevant section of our Terms of Service and will only ever add to your rights, never subtract from them or from your statutory rights. Cranes is a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 95838570. Payments are processed by Stripe.
One time payment, no subscription
Cranes Lifetime Access is a single payment of €20 plus VAT. There is no subscription, nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Your journal data remains yours and is only deleted when you request account deletion.
Your 14 day right of withdrawal
Under EU consumer law, you normally have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days and receive a refund, with no reason needed. Cranes Lifetime Access is a digital service that starts immediately after successful payment. Before checkout you expressly request immediate access and expressly waive your 14 day withdrawal right to the extent applicable law permits. Your checkout confirmation and order email record the acknowledgement you gave.
Where the legal conditions for losing that right are met, payments already made are not refundable merely because you changed your mind. This does not affect rights that cannot legally be waived, including remedies for a faulty or misdescribed service.
Faulty service, your statutory rights
Separately from anything above: if Cranes is faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill, Dutch and EU consumer law gives you remedies that nothing we publish can take away. If something isn't right, tell us through Discord and we'll fix it or refund you.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within a few business days after approval. The time before funds appear depends on Stripe, your bank and your payment method.
Community, moderation and ended access
Cranes Community is part of the same one time purchase and needs no separate payment. If we remove a post or end access because the terms were broken, the payment already made is not refundable, and your journal keeps working as long as your access lasts. If you stop taking part in Community, nothing about your journal changes. Deleting your account removes your Community content as described in the privacy policy.
