This page gathers Cranes' refund position in one place. It restates the relevant section of our Terms of Service and will only ever add to your rights — never subtract from them or from your statutory rights. Cranes is operated by Cranes, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 95838570. Payments are processed by Stripe.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or through our Discord community. Cancelling stops future renewals; your paid features keep working until the end of the period you've already paid for. Your journal data remains yours — nothing is deleted when a subscription ends unless you separately request account deletion.
Under EU consumer law, you normally have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days and receive a refund, with no reason needed. However, because Cranes Access is digital content that starts working immediately upon payment — access to your journal, statistics and features begins right away — EU law allows us to ask you to expressly waive this 14-day right in exchange for immediate access, which you do by ticking the acknowledgment box at checkout.
This means that once your access has started, the 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies and payments already made are non-refundable, except where required by law or where we decide otherwise at our discretion.
Separately from anything above: if Cranes is faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill, Dutch and EU consumer law gives you remedies that nothing we publish can take away. If something isn't right, tell us through Discord and we'll fix it or refund you.
Refunds are made to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within a few business days of approval.
