1. The service
Cranes is a trading journal. It lets you record trades and multiple entries across funded, live, demo and forward testing accounts, add notes and chart images, store certificates, review dashboard and Analytics summaries, view an economic News Station, export journal data as JSON or CSV and create share cards. It also includes Cranes Community: a feed where members post, reply, repost, like and save, follow each other, share stories that disappear after 24 hours, form teams with their own chat, and share trade cards drawn over market price data. Cranes does not place trades, connect to brokers or manage money on your behalf.
1a. Who operates Cranes
Cranes is a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 95838570, based in the Netherlands.
2. No financial advice
Nothing in Cranes, including the Cranes Score, discipline index, observed patterns, streaks, account limits, warnings, breakdowns, charts or News Station, is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Analytics describe the information you recorded. They do not predict results, recommend actions or decide whether you should trade. All trading decisions are yours alone, and trading carries substantial risk of loss.
Calendar times, forecasts and released figures come from a public third party feed and originate from central banks and national statistics offices. They can be delayed, revised, incomplete or simply wrong, and the feed can be unavailable without notice. Always confirm an event with your broker or the official source before you trade it.
Event explanations, impact labels, session times, countdowns and any other commentary in the news section are written by Cranes for general information. Cranes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ForexFactory or any other data provider, exchange, broker or prop firm, and all third party names and trademarks remain the property of their owners. To the extent permitted by law we accept no liability for any loss arising from the accuracy, timing, availability or interpretation of this information.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You sign in with your username and password. Your email address is used for account confirmation and password recovery, not as an identifier on the login page. An account created directly by us starts with an internal login name and can add an email address at any time. In Community you claim a public @handle, which is how other members find and mention you. Once claimed, a handle is not offered to another member, but we can release or change it if it impersonates someone, infringes a right, or is clearly unsuitable. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Price and payment
Anyone can create a free Cranes account with core journal features, including one trading account and up to 5 logged trades per calendar week (Monday to Sunday, UTC). Analytics and News Station are not part of the free plan. Lifetime Access unlocks the full feature set, such as unlimited accounts and trades, Analytics, News Station, custom share card backgrounds, CSV export and the verified member check. Cranes Lifetime Access costs a one time payment of €20 plus any VAT due at checkout. There is no subscription and nothing renews: after one successful payment your account keeps access to Cranes for the lifetime of the service, as long as your account exists and you follow these terms. Lifetime means the lifetime of the Cranes service, not of any individual feature; features may change as described in these terms. Checkout takes place on Stripe's hosted payment page and your receipt is available in Settings. Members who received access personally from Cranes keep that access without payment. The separate Refund Policy forms part of these terms.
5. Acceptable use
Do not share your account with others, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer the service, or use it for anything unlawful. You also agree not to scrape or bulk copy the service or its content, resell or sublicense access, upload unlawful, infringing or malicious files, use the service to promote financial products you are not allowed to promote, or present Cranes output as verified or audited trading results. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
In Community you additionally agree not to harass, threaten, defame or bully another member; not to post sexually explicit or violent material; not to share another person's personal information without their consent; not to impersonate a person, firm or platform; not to spam or repeatedly post the same content; not to post unsolicited offers, solicitation or referral links; and not to post another member's journal data, chart images or results without their permission. You can block another member, which hides them from your feed and hides your new posts from them. Blocking does not delete content either of you posted earlier.
6. Your data
Your trades, notes, and uploads remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them back to you. See the privacy policy for details.
7. Availability and liability
Cranes is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, error free statistics, correct calculations, reminders, warnings or session clocks, or that any figure, score or calculation is fit for a particular purpose. Risk limits and alerts depend on the account settings and trades you record and may differ from a broker or prop firm. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, trading losses, lost profits, missed opportunities, failed evaluations, lost funded accounts, or loss of data.
We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our hosting, database, email or payment providers, internet or network failures, or changes to third party feeds and services.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, and nothing removes your statutory consumer rights under Dutch and EU law.
8. Brokers, prop firms and third party names
Cranes is an independent journal. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting for any broker, exchange, prop firm, data provider or platform whose name, logo or product appears in the app. Those names and marks belong to their owners and are used only so you can label your own records. Prop firm rules, evaluation targets, drawdown limits and payout terms are set by that firm, can change at any time, and the figures you see in Cranes are never a substitute for your firm's own dashboard or statement.
The Prop Firms directory is a free reference tool offered purely as help and support. Its programs, account sizes and rules are compiled from public sources, including the firms' own websites and third party comparison sites, and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. It is not a recommendation, offer or advice to buy any challenge, and we accept no liability for any decision, purchase, fee, failed evaluation or loss based on it. Always confirm every rule on the firm's own website before you buy.
Certificates and payout records you upload are stored as you provide them. We do not verify, audit or certify them, and their presence in Cranes is not proof of any result.
9. Your own records
Your broker's or firm's own records are always the authoritative version of your trading history. You can export core journal data from Settings. Uploaded files, certificates and every presentation setting may not be included in that export, so keep your own originals. We do not guarantee that data lost through your own deletion can be recovered.
10. Performance cards, trade charts and what you publish
Performance cards and exported images show only what you recorded yourself. A trade card can be drawn over a market price chart retrieved from a public third party market data source; that price line is not verified or complete, and the data belongs to its provider. Cards, charts and images are not verified, audited or certified results. If you share them, you are responsible for what you publish, for not presenting them as verified or as a promise of future returns, for not using them to advise or solicit others, and for following the rules of the platform you post on and of any firm you trade with.
11. Content you post in Community
Posts, replies, stories, team chat messages and images you add stay yours. You give Cranes only the permission it needs to store, display and back up that content inside the service and to show it to other signed-in members for as long as your access lasts. Stories expire on their own after 24 hours. Anything you post can be seen, copied or screenshotted by other members, and content you delete is removed from the feed but may remain in copies another member already made or in technical backups for a limited period.
We do not monitor Community continuously. Members can report a post; the owner reviews reports and decides whether to remove a post or keep it, and can remove content or end access for breach of these terms without a refund as set out in the refund policy. Removing your content does not entitle you to a refund, and we are under no obligation to pre-screen or remove anything. A member's post is that member's own opinion: it is not Cranes' view, not verified and not advice to you.
12. Accounts created for others
Some accounts are created for friends and family at no charge. If we create an account for you, these terms apply to you in full. If you ask us to create an account for someone else, you confirm that person is at least 18 years old, that they agree to these terms, and that you may pass on their details for that purpose. Complimentary access carries no service level, no refund entitlement, and can be ended at any time.
13. Our intellectual property
The Cranes name, wordmark, interface, design, texts, event explanations and the Cranes Score methodology belong to us. You get a personal, non transferable right to use the service while your access lasts; nothing here transfers ownership or lets you copy, resell or rebuild the product.
14. Prices, taxes and changes to the service
Prices are shown at checkout and any VAT or sales tax is handled by our payment provider. Currency conversion or bank fees charged by your own bank or card issuer are yours. If we ever change the price, the change applies only to new purchases; your lifetime access keeps the price you paid. We may also add, change or remove features as the product develops.
15. Suspension and ending your access
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, chargeback abuse, or unlawful use. There are no refunds after purchase, as set out in the refund policy. Deleting your account permanently removes your records, as described in the privacy policy.
16. Third party links and communities
Links to Discord, payment pages, prop firms or other external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or terms. Anything you share in our Discord community is governed by Discord's own rules and is visible to other members there.
Cranes Community, its feed, stories and team chat run on our own service and fall under these terms and our privacy policy. What you post there is visible to other signed-in members as described in the privacy policy, and team chat messages are visible to the members of that team.
17. Complaints, law and jurisdiction
Tell us about a problem first and we will try to resolve it. These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without affecting your right as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of your own country of residence or to rely on the mandatory consumer law that applies there. Mandatory consumer rights and any complaint routes available in your country remain unaffected.
18. General
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest keeps applying. We may transfer our rights and obligations if the business is transferred, without reducing your rights. These terms, together with the refund, privacy and risk pages, are the whole agreement between us.
19. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
